Just stumbled upon a fantastic blog by a cycling coach in New Zealand with lots of great thoughts on Paleo training for cyclists, Primal Muse. With all its food porn photos and ride reports, this blog is pretty much a puff piece in comparison. In contrast, the author of Primal Muse, Jamie Scott, gets much more into the physiology and nutrition science behind Paleo dietary and fitness principles.

Here’s a great series he did on the use of fat as fuel for long-distance cyclists: Part I, Part II, Part III, Part IV, Part V, and the Final Part!

There are lots of other great training resources on the site, including strength training for cyclists and much more. Definitely worth reading.
